It’s Time to Talk

Aloha,

I have been on a lot of airplanes recently. I’ve been everywhere from Holualoa to Haena, meeting people from every walk of life. It has been a wonderful experience. People across Hawaii are hungry for a better way to do things, and that’s why our campaign has sparked such early momentum.

But for many of you, I probably haven’t met you in person yet or talked with you long enough for you to make up your mind on this important race.

I want to personally invite you to get to know both me and our campaign a little better. I know the Lieutenant Governor’s race is not necessarily at the top of your mind, but it’s critical that Hawaii voters select someone who they think will be an energetic leader and a proven problem-solver.

There will be plenty of time for me to make the case for my candidacy with TV ads and brochures. But for now, I want to listen to you – to hear your concerns as well as your ideas – and to just talk story.

I’m hoping you can find time in your busy schedule to come to one of the following events:

Campaign Kickoff on Maui

Our Maui Chairs Vince Bagoyo and Martin Luna have put together a fantastic Maui “kick off” event for a diverse group of supporters. The event will be at the Kahului Community Center from 6 to 8 pm on June 2nd. Please join us for good food, great entertainment and lots of that wonderful Maui aloha spirit.

Coffee hours at our Honolulu Headquarters

These are small, grass roots meetings where you can ask me specific questions on the issues that affect you. These pau hana coffees, to be held every Thursday evening in June from 5 to 6 p.m., are both informative and also good fun. They will be held at our headquarters, which is upstairs in Ward Warehouse at the top of the middle escalator across from the old Buffet 100 restaurant. Please advise Kim Yoshimoto (kim@brianschatz.com) if you are coming, so the pupus don’t run out.

We will also be happy to schedule coffee hours with you in your community. And yes, we deliver, if you’d like a yard sign at your home.

We’ll continue to be in touch because we want you to be part of our great and growing campaign.

Aloha,
