Hawaii Venture Capital Association Endorses Brian Schatz

The Hawaii Venture Capital Association, one of Hawaii’s oldest non-profit economic development-focused business groups, formed in 1988, has consistently voiced support for an economy balanced by thriving technology companies, talented entrepreneurs and investment capital formation. One of its strongest allies in building a tech economy has been Brian Schatz.

Today, the Hawaii Venture Capital Association formally endorses Brian Schatz as its choice for the next Lieutenant Governor of the State of Hawaii.  “Schatz is a clear-headed, mission-focused, insightful leader who understands better than any other candidate the need for Hawaii to build its capacity to export technology based goods and services to the global economy,” said Bill Spencer, long-time president of HVCA.

Brian’s leadership will stimulate a diversified economy that will bring in tax revenues to the State at levels that can assure and protect our fragile infrastructure, epic beauty and special environment that we love.  Brian understands this and has worked much of his career demonstrating his commitment to a diversified economy, something that will benefit us today and create critical opportunities for the leaders of tomorrow.  “That’s why we unequivocally support his candidacy,” said Spencer.
